Everyday we put our bodies through so much. We consume a lot of sugar, salt, transfats, alcohol and additives through our diet. Our bodies do have an amazing ability to cleanse themselves, but there are a few small things we can insert into our daily routines to give our bodies an extra boost.

Water is important for detoxification of the body

Water is important for the organs and for flushing old toxins out of your system. Taking saunas is a great way to sweat out and release toxins through the skin, just remember to drink a lot of water to stay hydrated. Try to drink 1 litre of water per 25kg of your body weight per day, little by little throughout the whole day.

Lemons rid the body of impurities

Starting the day by drinking a cup of warm lemon water is a great way to flush out the impurities from the previous day, and gives the internal organs a fresh start. It can help the digestion so it’s a very good way to get the appetite up and the stomach working.
