Are you living a life that makes you feel full of joy, a life that you love?
How do you know if you are on your right path, living your soul’s purpose and doing what you feel most passionate about? Or are you just going through the mundane paces blindly, living a life of complacency?
It seems that society sees that what we do is the bee-all and end-all of our lives. Success is perceived as only having achieved something significant and gained a level of status. Materialistic possessions are the markers for how much success we have attained. We seemed to be conditioned to measure our worth on how much we can do and how well we can do it. Does this inspire us to live a conscious life? The big question; does all this ‘stuff’ equal true happiness? Are we inspired to live fully and consciously?
All of this fluff has immersed us into a state of robotic blindness and we have forgotten who we truly are.
We define ourselves based on what it is that we do, instead of making what we do an expression of who our true selves really are. Those who honour their true selves and their inner being, bring an intangible quality to whatever it is that they do.
Choosing a job for the money or choosing a career to live up to other people expectations is where we go wrong.
Our true life purpose is to be what we were meant to be, to go after that burning desire that makes our hearts burst into song.
“I believe that the very purpose of life is to be happy. From the very core of our being, we desire contentment. In my own limited experience I have found that the more we care for the happiness of others, the greater is our own sense of well-being. Cultivating a close, warmhearted feeling for others automatically puts the mind at ease. It helps remove whatever fears or insecurities we may have and gives us the strength to cope with any obstacles we encounter. It is the principal source of success in life. Since we are not solely material creatures, it is a mistake to place all our hopes for happiness on external development alone. The key is to develop inner peace.” ― Dalai Lama XIV
All we need do is truly listen to our true Self, take a moment to be quiet, to connect. Divinity resides within and if we really listen, the information that we need comes to us. Honour yourself by living a passionate life that is based on purpose.
